Wildscreen, Sunny Side partner for wildlife focus

French festival Sunny Side of the Doc is teaming up with the UK's Wildscreen Film Festival for a special focus on wildlife and natural history content.

French festival Sunny Side of the Doc is teaming up with the UK-based Wildscreen Film Festival for a special focus on wildlife and natural history content.

This year’s edition of Sunny Side – which runs from June 22 to 25 in La Rochelle, France – is highlighting wildlife films, with Wildscreen showcasing select Panda Award-winning fare during public screenings.

In addition, the festival is hosting Natural History Day on June 24. The day-long event will feature a series of forums, lunches and case studies aimed at encouraging the creation of wildlife programming.

Natural History Day will also see a pitch presentation of six natural history and wildlife projects that are either in production or advanced development. Projects can be one offs, mini-series, series or transmedia/interactive projects.

The deadline for project submissions is April 30.
