ITV Studios’ year-old entertainment label Possessed has rounded out its senior management team with a number of key appointments, while also securing its first commission for ITV Daytime.

The label - launched last August - is helmed by former Endemol executive producer Glenn Hugill, and joined ITV Studios’ UK stable of prodcos, which includes ITVS Entertainment, 12 Yard Productions and Potato.

Possessed has now hired Paula Cowles as production executive and Kate Stannard as development executive. The pair, along with Hugill and recently appointed development executive Paul Brassey, comprise the fledgling prodco’s senior management team.

Paula Cowles previously served on the ITV Studios entertainment team as a production executive and line producer for three series of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Her credits at ITV Studios include Piers Morgan’s Life Stories (ITV), Come Dine With Me (C4) and Hell’s Kitchen (ITV).

Meanwhile, Kate Stannard most recently worked as a senior producer at Studio Lambert, where she produced Steph and Dom Meet… (C4). Previously, she served as a senior development producer at Monkey Kingdom, and as a development producer at BBC Entertainment and Endemol.

Brassey joined Possessed earlier this year from CPL Productions, where he served as a development producer on A League Of Their Own (Sky 1). He also worked as a development producer at North One Television and BBC Entertainment.

In other news, Possessed has been commissioned by ITV Daytime for a 25 x 60-minute game show titled Pick Me, hosted by British presenter and former magician Stephen Mulhern (pictured) and set for launch in October. The program finds a selected contestant playing to win a prize against a panel of three players who are each trying to win £1000 by asking various questions.

Pick Me genuinely makes real people the stars and features lots of ‘Can you believe they said that?’ moments for both the studio audience and the viewers at home as our players attempt to bluff each other absolutely on the spot,” said Possessed MD Glenn Hugill in a statement.

The game show is exec produced by Hugill and series produced by Luke Shiach, with Kate Stannard serving as senior producer for Possessed. It was commissioned by Helen Warner, ITV’s director of daytime, and the format will be distributed internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment, which will also launch it at this October’s MIPCOM market in Cannes.
