Paris-based doc producer-distributor Zed has promoted Chloé Persyn to director of international distribution, effective October 1.

Persyn has worked as a sales exec for Zed since 2010, overseeing catalog sales in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Asia/Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa.

Prior to that, she worked in distribution for broadcaster France Télévisions and in international sales for indie company Wide Management. She began her career at MIP organizer Reed MIDEM in 2008.

In addition to sales, she has put together financing, pre-sale and coproduction deals for various film and doc projects.

The promotion follows the departure of Zed’s long-time head of international sales and acquisitions Celine Payot Lehmann, who will assume the role of head of international distribution for the distribution arm of European channel ARTE on October 10.
