Scotland-based Two Rivers Media has tapped former Wall to Wall Media executive Lucy Bacon to take over as director of unscripted development.

The appointment marks the third senior creative hire the Scottish indie has made since launching in January, including the appointment of Mirella Breda as head of entertainment.

“Two Rivers Media is one of the most exciting production companies in the industry,” Bacon said in a statement. “I am really looking forward to growing the team and building a development powerhouse, creating stand-out ideas for the UK and international markets.”

In her most recent role, Bacon served as head of UK factual development at Wall to Wall Media, a division of Warner Bros. Television Production UK, where she oversaw the development of projects such as The Twinstitute on BBC2, Danny Dyer’s Right Royal Family on BBC1 and The 100 Years Younger Experiment on ITV, among others.

Prior to that position, Bacon acted as head of development, development central, for BBC Productions, where she landed credits on The Hairy Bikers, Chicken and Egg and Who’s the Boss on BBC2. Among a range of other development producer and development executive roles, Bacon also held the title of head of factual development at Remarkable Television and head of development at Shine TV.

“Lucy is one of the most outstanding development leads in the UK. She has originated, developed and pitched a wealth of program ideas, with much domestic and international success,” added Alan Clements, CEO of Twin Rivers Media. “Lucy is also experienced in both returning series and working with SVODs, areas in which we want to grow.”

Bacon will operate out of the company’s Glasgow headquarters.
