ITV Studios label Possessed has partnered with Spanish prodco Atresmedia Studios to co-develop a new game show format.
Trust Me I’m A Six-Year-Old will see celebrities go head to head across four competitive rounds using only the guidance of a group of rowdy kids to get them through the challenges.
Challenges include everything from pranks to physical feats, all for the chance to win the Big Kid Cup.
“We are looking to partner and work with broadcasters across the world, be it on co-developments or coproductions, and we are excited about our alliance with Atresmedia Studios to bring Trust Me I’m A Six-Year-Old to the market,” said Mike Beale, MD of ITV Studios Creative Network, in a statement. “We are already registering a high level of interest in the format and eager to explore its global potential.”
“We are delighted to creatively collaborate with a partner in the international market such as ITV Studios,” added Ignacio Corrales, CEO of Atresmedia Studios. “This agreement exemplifies the essence of Atresmedia Studios, whose aim is to satisfy the demand of content for a global market.”
In other ITV Studios news, one of the crown jewels of its format catalog through its deal with Talpa Media, The Voice, is moving into the Japanese market next year, via a channel that is yet to be announced.
The Voice will be locally produced in Japan by Voice Lariat, executive producers Ash Nukui and Hans Canosa, and Ortus Japan Co. Ltd.
This marks the 70th territory to commission and produce a local version of the format.
