Factual SVOD CuriosityStream has bolstered its slate of original historical content with the series American Icons.

The series tells the stories of individuals who have defined America, offering insights from historians such as Pulitzer Prize winners David McCullough and Doris Kearns Goodwin, and New York Times best-selling author and historian Jay Winik.

Each of the series 10 episodes profile a trail blazer, such as Martin Luther King, Jr., Thomas Edison, Walt Disney, Abraham Lincoln, Eleanor Roosevelt and Babe Ruth.

American Icons goes beyond the history books to give viewers an intimate look into the history-defining actions of the men and women who’ve contributed to the rich cultural tapestry of our country,” Noah Morowitz, executive producer for CuriosityStream, said in a statement. “These names are just a few of the icons who serve as inspiration for what we can achieve as individuals and as a country.”

American Icons premiered Nov. 7.
