TLC adds “Brides of Beverly Hills” to wedding roster

Over-the-top brides who frequent a Beverly Hills salon are the focus of TLC’s latest wedding-focused series, set to premiere on October 28.

The Brides of Beverly Hills, produced by Planetworks, goes inside Renee Strauss’ bridal salon, with a crew that includes wedding planner Kevin Lee, billed as being “straight out of Father of the Bride.” Over the 13 30-minute episodes, viewers will see brides demanding glitz and glamor for their big day.

TLC will air the series back to back over 10 weeks, at 10 and 10:30 p.m EST.

“TLC is the destination for wedding programming, and Brides of Beverly Hills builds on the popularity of Say Yes to the Dress, Four Weddings, and our other successful series,” said Amy Winter, TLC general manager. “These brides and Renee’s business can only be found in one of the most talked-about towns in the country, and we know our audience will love this insider’s look at this premier wedding boutique.”

In related news, TLC will also feature crossover episodes for two of its hits. On October 14, Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro’s wife Lisa will appear on Say Yes to the Dress, visiting Kleinfeld’s bridal store in the Half Yard Productions series to find a dress for her 10th anniversary wedding vow renewal. The renewal ceremony, and the dress she chose, will feature in an episode of High Noon Entertainment’s Cake Boss on October 17.
