Ukrainian broadcaster Novy TV (“New Channel”) has licensed Banijay Group-owned Air Productions’ shiny floor game show Honey, Pack the Bags! (Pictured, France 2′s version)

Novy TV will air 13 hour-long episodes of the show, which sees three audience members battling it out in a series of challenges and quizzes to win the holiday of a lifetime.

Honey, Pack the Bags!, a Banijay Group’s Air Productions format created by French TV personality Nagui, will go into production shortly and will air on Novy TV on primetime in early 2012.

“This is one of the most exciting and entertaining formats that we have seen on the market for a while and we are sure that it will prove very popular with Ukranian audiences,” said Anna Vedmedeva, acquisitions manager at Novy TV.

Luci Burnley, international sales and acquisitions executive at Banijay International, who negotiated the deal, added: “Although budgets there are not always as high as in Western Europe, this deal demonstrates that if a show can be re-versioned in a cost efficient manner, the CEE can be an exciting, burgeoning marketplace. Commissioners in CEE have an appetite for innovative, creative unscripted content and we are sure that this high energy, engaging format will translate well and bring Novy TV much success.”
