U.S. network TLC will premiere The Real Skinny, a special from Triage Entertainment, on March 12.

The special will tell the story of Sarah and Chris who were morbidly obese and, after drastic weight loss, are left with pounds of excess skin which leads to additional medical problems, such as severe rashes and problems performing basic tasks.

Airing at 10 p.m. EST, The Real Skinny follows the duo as they undergo post-bariatric surgery, where they will have a circumferential body lift to remove a significant number of pounds.

The special will also document the recovery stages, which sees Chris endure post-surgery infections, which are common with this procedure.
