Blue Ant Media has appointed Sam Linton as executive in charge of production.

Linton was previously VP and exec producer at RTR Media, where she oversaw development and production of series and pilots. She has also served as director of factual programming at Shaw Media, head of factual programming at Cineflix Productions and director of programming at Discovery Canada.

“With the growth of Blue Ant Media, our search for great content continues,” said Marcia Martin, Blue Ant Media’s SVP of original content, in a statement.

“Sam has joined our development team to work directly with independent producers and will have a key role in helping us find, develop and produce programming for our eight channels. She comes with a lot of experience in both production and development – we plan to tap into that as we look for the next big BAM hit.”

Linton will work out of Blue Ant Media’s head office in Toronto.
