Banijay International has signed a formats representation deal with Middle Eastern prodco Periscoop.

Under the exclusive deal, Periscoop will rep the adaptation and distribution rights for Banijay’s unscripted formats throughout the Middle East.

The pact follows a previous deal to produce a local version of French live music show Taratata (originally produced by Banijay Group’s Air Productions) for pan-regional broadcaster Dubai TV.

Periscoop, which is led by producer Péri Cochin, is now in talks with local networks to adapt titles from the Banijay portfolio.

Earlier this month, Banijay International sold the panel show format It’s Only TV  to MTV in Lebanon.
